Seniors
Thank you for visiting Midwest Insurance Agency's Senior Health Insurance link.
If you are over age 65, approaching age 65 or are eligible for Medicare due to a disability, you have come to the right source. Paul Jankowski, Midwest's individual health insurance agent, can guide you in making the right decision with regard to Medicare supplement and prescription drug coverage.
Those approaching age 65 should receive a Medicare card in the mail, as well as a "Medicare and You" brochure describing how Medicare works. Medicare does not pay for all potential medical costs, and that is where Midwest Insurance comes into play. We can recommend the right supplement plan, or Medigap Policy, for you. For a number of reasons, we generally recommend a Plan F supplement.
Those over 65 already on a Medicare supplement plan might qualify to switch their plan to a different company, which can mean substantial monthly savings.
If you are retired steelworker on Medicare who has been paying for Cobra coverage, it may be n your best interest to switch to a Medicare supplement plan and save hundreds of dollars per month.
Midwest Insurance works with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield as a well as United World Life Insurance Company, a subsidiary of Mutual of Omaha. Medicare requires each company that sells Medicare supplements to offer the same benefits for each supplement plan. Rates and service vary by company, and that's what Midwest can discuss with you.
